Tuesday already?? That last week seemed to fly, but then again drag on. I’m still reading the book I teased last week – The Murderer’s Daughter by Jonathan Kellerman. Great book, just long! Almost done! AND I just sent my firstborn to Kindergarten – how did that happen!!?? (And I’m still like 6 book reviews behind!)
So for this week I’m going to pick a true random teaser from my next read – The Good Neighbor by A.J. Banner, one of the August Kindle First choices, releasing 9/1/15. Click on book or see description below.
“I grabbed my cell phone from the nightstand, punched in 911. My fingers trembled; I thought I might faint. An operator’s nasal voice came on the line. “Shadow Cover 911, where’s your emergency?”
(5% into book)
What do you think? Pretty vague – where’s it going to go?? Even I don’t know yet! Please leave your teaser in the comments and thanks for coming by today!
From a phenomenal new voice in suspense fiction comes a book that will forever change the way you look at the people closest to you…
Shadow Cove, Washington, is the kind of town everyone dreams about—quaint streets, lush forests, good neighbors. That’s what Sarah thinks as she settles into life with her new husband, Dr. Johnny McDonald. But all too soon she discovers an undercurrent of deception. And one October evening when Johnny is away, sudden tragedy destroys Sarah’s happiness.
Dazed and stricken with grief, she and Johnny begin to rebuild their shattered lives. As she picks up the pieces of her broken home, Sarah discovers a shocking secret that forces her to doubt everything she thought was true—about her neighbors, her friends, and even her marriage. With each stunning revelation, Sarah must ask herself, Can we ever really know the ones we love?
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB/Jenn of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
